The in-house hot spring source of Hatcho-no-Yu is 100% natural flowing from a hot spring source. The quality of the hot spring, where sinter deposits just gushed forth from the earth are dancing around, has been fascinating many funs.

Our proud hot spring is the never-reheated self-flowing high-temperature hot spring (neutral hypotonic high-temperature hot spring). As the stimulus and the burden on the body are light, the hot srping water mildly sinks into your skin.

Enjoy the three mixed baths including "Yukimi-no-Yu" (Bath of Snow Viewing), which was built at the inauguration time on 1929, "Takimi-no-Yu" (Bath of Waterfall Viewing), and "Shakunage-no-Yu" (Bath of Rhododendron), as well as an outdoor bath of waterfall-viewing (women only), where you can enjoy the dynamic scenery while viewing a waterfall.

The highest-quality hot spring experiences surrounded by the sound of nature and the fragrances of seasons are the best "O-mo-te-na-shi" (hospitality) of Hatcho-no-Yu.

The hotel is tattoo friendly.

In recent years, tattoos have become a familiar part of fashion. Hatcho-no-yu welcomes tattooed guests to enjoy our hot springs so that many foreign visitors to Japan can casually experience Japanese hot spring culture. Please note that we will continue to refuse any person, regardless of nationality, who is involved in antisocial activities from entering or staying at our hot spring resort. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Indoor Bath
There is one indoor bath for men and one for women.

The women's indoor bath was built around 1972, when materials could finally be transported by four-wheel drive vehicles. The men's bath is the oldest bath in the hotel.

The insistence on ingredients is the insistence on smiles.

Hatcho-no-Yu used to be known as "Lodge of Lamps" because there were no electric wires here until 1988.
Now, our facilities are electrified, but still lit by warm lamps selected carefully by the owner.

Located amidst pristine forests, Haccho no Yu is a paradise for nature activities. Right in front of the building, the source of the Kinugawa River is a hotspot for trout and char fishing. The lodge also marks the end of a walking trail leading to Megafuchi, making it easy to embark on a hiking adventure right away.

For those confident in their walking abilities, extending your journey to Japan's tallest marsh, Kinunuma, sitting at an elevation of 2,020 meters, comes highly recommended. Along the way, you'll encounter various waterfalls, suspension bridges, and colorful alpine plants welcoming hikers during the summer.

Within the lodge, we also offer suggestions for unique ways to spend your time. Enjoy the deeply moving experiences of the secluded Oku-Kinu moments through all four seasons.
